The Power of The Internet And Get To Know ME.

We all know how much the internet impacts our lives. Some use it for work, and for some it is work. Others use it for fun or to keep in touch with family.
I personally use it to
A) Keep up with family (My cousin, Wesley, and I talk all the time on here. He has his own blog: And Please Enjoy The Show, which you should check out.)
B) Keep up with the book scene.
If you asked me 2 years ago if I would have a blog of my own, I would have laughed in your face. Never did I think I would do this. Never did I think I would have a Twitter account, either.
Look at me now. I tweet everyday and post on a regular basis.

Y'all know my love for reading and writing is unbelievable. Yours probably is, too, if you follow this blog.And because of that love, I have made some of the best friends in the world and met some of the most wonderful people ever!
Without knowing them, I would probably be stuck in my reading/writing and would never step up like I should.
I would like to introduce those great people to you.

My name is Courtney Rae. I am a soon to be 17 year old homeschooled senior. I reside in North Carolina and love it. My puppy's name is Jace. He is a lab/husky mix. Yes, he is named after Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments character. I nicknamed him Demon Dog.
My favorite color is green. People come to the conclusion that that means I like money. Yeah, I do, but I like green because it was my brothers first favorite color.
I have an older brother, Landon. He is 19 and one of the best people I know. Without him, I probably would have been certifiably insane a long time ago.
My BEST friends are Alex and Makayla. I met Makayla in 6th grade and Alex in 8th. They are both YANKEES! Alex loves pink. Makayla loves Spongebob. Because of them, I am now certifiably insane.

I'm short. You may use me as an arm rest, if you must. Just remember, I am very mean. I can and will physically and mentally hurt you.
If I had to choose between jeans or a dress. I will always pick jeans.
My hair color is blonde. That doesn't mean I'm ditzy. But I admit I have my moments. I have dyed my hair multiple times. Last Christmas it was BRIGHT red. I loved it. My grandparents... not so much.
My nickname is Bigbutt. I got it from my grandfather. I call him Bigmouth.
I read all the time. If you ask me what I'm doing, the conversation will go like this:
"What are you doing?"
"Reading."
"Again? Well, that was a stupid question for me to ask."
My dad says I'm a nerd, but not in a bad way. He is proud of me and what I have accomplished. He wants me to become a published author. I want that, too.
My mom says she is proud of me, also. I look just like her. I wish I was more like her on the inside, though. She is a strong woman who, when she knows what she wants, she goes after anything.
My parents are shaping me to be the best human being I can be.
Oh, I hate Lady Gaga and Kate Gosselin.
This was probably a lot more than you wanted to know about me, but I just wanted you to see who I am. I'm not just some girl on the computer, reviewing books. I'm a person, too.

I read. I write. I review. I blog. I'm a sophomore English major at Texas A&M University. I always have to buy a large coke Icee and a package of Airhead X-Tremes when I see a movie at the theater (Yes, that means I spend $7.75 on snacks everytime). When I moved out of my parents house, I missed my dog Remi so much that I adopted a kitten and told my sister I found her in our backyard (that is the only way she'd let me keep it. Her name is Secret. And I love her). I can quote the Law and Order SVU intro word for word. I am obsessed with Meg & Dia. I have a nasty addiction to Secret Life. I want a teacup pig. Okay. You may be asking, "Why in the world did she post ALL THIS?!" I know Kelsey and Ari are wondering why I just asked them to send me a bio of themselves.
I did this to show you that friends can be from anywhere.
Two of the sweetest girls I know I found on Twitter. Kelsey because she started talking to me. I think it was about My Soul To Save. Ari because we had some serious amounts of #sealove.
The three of us share a passion for books and writing. And somehow get along.
Kelsey is the sweet, always has something nice to say, but get her going and she will tell you off type of girl.
Ari is the talk in third person, sing Phantom of the Opera, and take over the world type of girl. Think Rachel from Shiver.
I'm known as Momma Courtney. I remind them to wear sunscreen.

See? The internet isn't ALL bad. Not everyone is out to get you on here. Sometimes you meet people who help you and further your hopes and dreams.
